Description
Synopsis:
She has a sex addiction. He has a drinking problem; there is no way out but the bottom.
The biggest secret of quiet Lily Calloway would go unnoticed. At college clubs, everyone is dancing, but Lily stays in the restroom to find love. Her obsession drives her to one-night stands, sexy hookups, and embarrassingly embarrassing occasions. The only person who is aware of her secret also knows his own.
His bottle of bourbon is Loren Hale’s closest companion. Lily comes in second place. They have concealed their addictions from their family for three years by pretending to be in a committed relationship. They are experts at hiding flasks and errant men who wander into and out of their place.
They cling more tightly to their abusive relationship as they struggle under the weight of their addictions, and they begin to question whether living together honestly might be preferable to lying. They see that they may not just be hooked to drink and sex as strangers and family members begin to encroach on their closed-off lifestyles and present them with fresh difficulties.
They might be each other’s true vice.
About the book:
It is about Lily and Lo in a story. They have been friends since childhood and have grown up together, but they both have addictions. They lie because they both have addictions—she to sex and he to alcohol—and because of their wealthy and domineering families ever discovered out, they would both be cast aside. They cohabitate and seem like a regular, happy couple while doing so, giving each other an excuse and a secure place to continue their addictions.
However, since neither of them is publicly acknowledging their emotions for the other, there are times when their phoney relationship seems to be the most real thing in the world.
They had discovered a way to deal with their addiction by supporting one another and recognising what each other required. Even though it wasn’t healthy, neither of them could quit, and they managed to strike a balance—albeit a risky one—that served their needs. But when they were made to take a family yacht trip, everything changed. Locked away from any chance of covering up their addictions, the only thing they had was each other.
Tropes in the book:

Characters:
Lily Calloway: People close to Lily describe her as a wild card. Out of everyone, she is the shyest and most introverted and suffers from anxiety. Lily has low self-esteem and occasionally exhibits selfishness, but never on purpose. Lily succeeds in trying to kick her addiction throughout the books. Lily began faking relationships with her best friend Loren Hale during her senior year of high school.
Loren Hale: Loren is clever and snarky, and he is a huge comic book fan. Due to his verbally abusive father, Loren has the propensity to argue with words. Lo allows others to hurt him even though he deserves all the love in the world because he feels that pain is something he has earned.
Except for Lily, Lo grew up despising everyone and everything in the world, but once he met his buddies, they started to feel like family to him.
