During her teenage days, Kya falls in love with Tate, only to be abandoned by him later on. After which, though she has trust issues, she soon falls for the promises made by a guy named “Chase.”

However, Tate returns to Kya, confessing his mistake. What will Kya choose to do?

Characters

Kya: Despite the trials she faced in her life, Kya kept her resolve and worked hard to lead a quality life. Her passion for birds or nature like collecting shells and art was heartwarming to say the least.

Tate: He was a great character in the book, and though he left Kya for his own reasons, his later resolve in life won my heart. His loyalty towards Kya was appreciable.

Chase: He is someone who is an example of a toxic man, who thinks of having the upper hand in a relationship and having the final say. He is the epitome of toxic masculinity.

But what is the murder mystery all about? Who gets killed, and who is the culprit? Is it all black or white?

Delia Owens is an American author, best known for her historical fiction novel “Where the Crawdads Sing.” She is a great storyteller who weaves different timelines and can transport the reader to a different world with her writing.
