This book is really rude at times because it will introduce to reality and to your current status which we all avoid at times.
We were really fascinated by the chapter where the author talks about how we build an imaginary world where we fairytale stories but when those things doesn’t happen in reality that hurts us.
In this book, the author has covered many aspects of life, people, relationship, happiness, self satisfaction, success & failures, online world of show-off, etc.
- Major takeaways :-
1. Choose self-satisfacion over happiness:-
We often choose to do things that makes us happy not knowing that these are temporary things. Choose satisfaction over the things that gives you temporary pleasure.
2. Study yourself (self awareness):-
A wise man is the one who knows himself completely. If you don’t know yourself enough, how will you ever know where you belong now? Where do you stand? What you need to learn? An idiot is one who doesn’t know himself and thinks he knows everything already to become an expert.
3. Don’t let anyone hurt you:-
People can hurt you only if you allow them. Set your boundaries and don’t let anyone’s presence and absence influence or weaken you.
It’s a great book and it’s a perfect match for you if you are suffering because of others. If you’re a beginner looking for short and effective read, go ahead with this.
